What is Power? – April 17th, 2025 through June 16th, 2025 at the Majestic Theatre in Gettysburg, PA.

In What is Power?, Julia Wilmot presents a series of skyscapes that blend the majestic and the cataclysmic, the mythological and the natural. These paintings—over a dozen in total—feature sweeping cloudscapes, volatile weather, and the striking presence of mythical creatures. By juxtaposing fantastical creatures with awe-inspiring atmospheric phenomena, the series invites viewers into a layered visual and conceptual dialogue.

What holds the most meaning for you? The inspiring beauty of our universe? The raw, imagined force of a dragon? The uncontrollable violence of a storm? The idea of a divine Creator? The transformative act of creation itself through handmade art? Or perhaps the unknowable, unfiltered power of nature? Each painting is an open question, a space to reflect.

You are invited to spend time with the work and ask yourself, What is power?
